Box breathing timer
Take a minute. Breathe with Pip.
4 in, 4 hold, 4 out, 4 hold. Just follow Pip and the count.
What is box breathing?
Four equal sides, like a box.
Box breathing (sometimes called square breathing) is a simple, steady rhythm: you breathe in, hold, breathe out and hold again, each for the same count. Many people use it to slow down between meetings or reset before something stressful.
- 4Breathe in
- 4Hold
- 4Breathe out
- 4Hold
Breathe in through your nose if that's comfortable, and let the out-breath be slow and easy. If holding for four feels like too much, shorten the holds. There's no wrong way to take a calm minute.
If you feel dizzy or uncomfortable, stop and breathe normally. This is a relaxation exercise, not medical advice.
